1. Which of the 8 rules of Media Literacy is illustrated in the Beauty and Body Image article? Why and how?

All Media is constructed. Gives us message of what's good in life.

2. The article on advertising to children is a great example of media constructing reality (#2 rule of Media Literacy). Can you think of an example of media constructed reality aimed at teens? Tell me what it is and how it constructs reality.

An example of media constructed reality aimed at teens is like a new song that was introduced by the radio. It construct to reality because most people are interested in music these days.

3. The commercial implications (#4) of media literacy are illustrated in The Economics of Ethnicity link. Do you think most media does a good job of showing what your real life is like? The number of minority people you see daily, the kinds of problems you have in real life, the way those problems get solved - are these things that you see in TV shows, movies and advertising?

Yes I think they do a good job advertising real life like situations and solving them because sometimes when I run into situations they have on t.v, most of the time I do what they do to solve the problem and it actually works.

Commercial

This is our commercial persuading people to learn how to play instruments. In our commercial it told people that they can start learning how to play instruments in Ms. Pon's class. There are two classes they can take to learn instrument. One class is to play the piano and the other one is to learn how to play the instruments in the orchestra class. It was pretty easy making this commercial though it is our first time. 

T.V advertisement

 The advertisement for the At&t blackberry phone makes me want to get a new phone. I think I wanted to get a new phone was because I have a 2 year contract on my phone and that ad reminded me how much I wanted a new phone.

PSA

     There were people that came from San Francisco Film society. Their names are Kirthi, Ryan, and Mashi. In our group, we are doing a PSA about littering. We used a orange for an example of not littering. We only put music, but we did try to explain it clearly without using a script. In our PSA we used a orange as an example for littering. It was about dropping orange peels on the ground and then rewinding it, and dropping the orange peels in the trash.
     We wanted to do the PSA this way because people often think of plastic as litter though orange peels can be litter too. What inspired us to do our PSA on orange peels was a fellow Media Arts student left orange peels on the table and didn't throw it in the trash. We didn't think others will know that just putting orange peels on the table without throwing it in the trash will be litter.

PSA Blog.

We are making PSA about Littering in the media arts class. Annie will take the pictures for the PSA. Kelley will edit in iMovie for our PSA. Derek will do the music which will go along with the pictures in the PSA. John already got the props for our PSA. Anthony will do the other pieces that needs to be done which is being in the movie. Our whole school will be our audience.

Escher paragraph

This is a picture that I made from Kerpoof. This picture is almost like a copy of the art that Escher , a artist made. Escher's art is realistic and mine look kind of realistic too. Making this picture was hard work. I had to fit the images on the picture, had to make it realistic, and it had to have details of the humans standing on their spots. This picture took three days to make.

Darth Vador captured the princess and Lucas and his group came to save her. Though Darth Vador isn't after the princess, however, he is after his old master. Darth Vador wants to see his old master face to face and have a talk with him since he know his old master isn't planning to escape. Death star is a powerful weapon that can almost kill anyone.

Luke Skywalker joined the rebel forces and helped them fight the black forces. Darth Vador was after the princess because he wants to the plan. The plan shows how to work the death star. But then the plans were actually in the robot.
